currently doing mcom from after 1 year working experience . Now am planing to do mba from japan through mext but from the research i get know that there are few changes to get mext in mba so research program through mext and after that i can covert to degree program can anyone clear this doubt

Nikita shahi 31st Jul, 2025

Hello,

You’re right that MEXT rarely offers direct MBA scholarships. MEXT is more research-focused. However, here’s what many students do:

1. You can apply for a research program under MEXT, ideally in a business or management-related field.

2. Once in Japan, build rapport with professors and perform well during your research year.

3. Then, you can apply for a degree switch from research to a regular degree like MBA with your professor’s support.

4. If the university agrees and MEXT approves, you can continue as a full-time MBA student under the same scholarship.

This path is not guaranteed, but it has worked for many students. Just choose a university that offers MBA programs in English, like Hitotsubashi, Ritsumeikan, or NUCB.

Hope you will find it helpful!

my ews catagory rank is 15674 and crp rank is 109086 home state is rajasthan so which nit i may get in csab round

Taabia Fathima 31st Jul, 2025

Hey Arpita:)

Thanks for reaching out!

With your EWS rank of 15,674 and AIR of 1,09,086 your chances of getting into TOP NITs or high competitive branches are unlikely. However, you may have chances in lower-demand  NITs like NIT, Mizoram,NIT, Nagaland,NIT, Sikkim in less competitive branches like civil, mechanical, metallurgical etc through the ews category in other state quota. Participating in special rounds is important where cut-offs tends to drop offering more options.

So,while top branches are tough, you may have a chance at mid-or lower- tier NITs in less competitive branches. Apply in all rounds and keep backup options open.

I have small spelling mistake in my ews and income certificates but my certificates are verified under ap eapcet counselling process. Do I have any problem during self reporting at the alloted college

SHUBHRADIP ROY 31st Jul, 2025

Hi Good Afternoon,

If there is a small spelling mistake in your EWS and Income certificates but they are already verified during the AP EAPCET counselling process, generally it should not create a major problem during self-reporting at the allotted college. Once your certificates are verified by the counselling authority, it means they have accepted your documents as valid for admission purposes. Minor spelling errors, like a small difference in the name or a missing letter, are usually considered non-critical as long as the details like your Aadhaar number, date of birth, and other identification details match correctly.

During self-reporting at the allotted college, the college mainly checks the verification status and the allotment letter from the counselling portal. They rely on the confirmation provided by the counselling authority. However, it is always safer to carry supporting documents like Aadhaar card, 10th certificate, and any other proof that shows your correct name or details. This will help you clarify the mistake immediately if the college staff asks.

If the spelling mistake is very minor and has already been accepted by the verification officials, there should be no hurdle in your admission process. But if you want to be extra cautious, you can also apply for a corrected version of the certificate for future use. Overall, since your certificates are verified and accepted in counselling, your admission is safe, and self-reporting at the college should not be a problem.

If someone has got 478 CUET Score from UP Board what are the chances of getting admission in good college, pls suggest

Chelsie G 1st Aug, 2025

A CUET score of 478 is actually a decent score, especially if you're from the UP Board. You definitely have chances to get admission in good central or state universities, depending on the course you're aiming for. If you're applying for courses like BA, BCom, or general BSc, your chances are better. Keep checking the official cutoffs of universities like BHU, Allahabad University, and others where CUET is accepted. Also, make sure to apply in multiple colleges to improve your chances.
