As far as Universities in India are concerned IIT Kharagpur followed by IIT Bombay, IIT ISM Dhanbad and IIT Roorkee are the four best institutes for pursuing a masters or doctoral degree in applied geology / geophysics in India. The Earth Sciences department at IIT Kanpur is another good choice

You can apply for both NEET and JEE if you have filled their respective eligibility criterias. A minimum of 75% marks in diploma is required for JEE eligibility along with other criterias. For NEET eligibility percentage of class 12 will be considered.
