Can I study BSc chemistry honours complete after chemistry engineering course

Prachi Kumari 24th Dec, 2025

Hello,

Yes, you can pursue BSc Chemistry (Honours) after completing a chemistry-related engineering course. However, a few points to keep in mind:

  1. Eligibility: Most universities require you to have studied science subjects (like Chemistry, Physics, Maths) in your 10+2 or equivalent. Some may also consider your engineering degree.

  2. Course Content: BSc Chemistry will focus more on pure chemistry topics (organic, inorganic, physical, analytical) rather than applied or engineering aspects.

  3. Admission: You may need to apply as a graduate or through lateral entry, depending on the university rules.

  4. Career Options: After BSc Chemistry, you can go for MSc Chemistry, research, teaching, or jobs in labs and industries.

In short, yes, it is possible, but check the specific university’s rules for eligibility.

Hope it helps !

Eligibility criteria for forensic science in Central university entrance test

Kamakshi 18th Dec, 2025

Hello Puri,

The eligibility criteria for Forensic Science in CUET( Common University Entrance Test) varies depending on the specific central university you are targeting. The standard framework for the UG B.Sc level is:

1. You must have passed your 10+2 examination from a recognized board in the science stream with minimum 45%-50% aggregate marks for General category and 40%-45% for SC\ST\PwD.

2. You must select subject in your application which are specific to your domain. Section 1(Language), Section 2( Domain subjects), and Section 3( General Test).

One must be careful while mapping subjects as it later decides the eligibility for the particular courses.

I hope this helps you.

Thankyou.

I got 60.00 marks in clat sc candidate male from delhi can i change to got admission NLU Gandhinagar, Patiala, Jodhpur, shimla and sonipat.? Is NLU Sonipat is good vs Law college under IP university?

Sachin 20th Dec, 2025

Hello aspirant ,

With 60 marks in CLAT as an SC candidate from Delhi, chances in top NLUs like Gandhinagar ,Patiala and Jodhpur are very low. You may have a small chance in newer NLUs like Shimla or Sonipat in later rounds , depending on cutoffs . NLUs Sonipat is generally better than most IP University law colleges due to NLU status , national exposure and academics , through IPU colleges may have lower fees and local advantages.

Hope the details will help you.

Hi sir mai 12th 2023 me pass kiya hun kya mai 2026 me IAT exam de sakta hun

Kamakshi 18th Dec, 2025

Hello Sachin,

The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) follows a "current year plus two previous year" rule as an eligibility criteria. The eligible passing years are expected to be:

1. 2026 ( Students appearing for board)

2.2025 ( One-year dropper)

3. 2024 (Two-year dropper)

Since you are a 2023 pass out, as per the rules you are considered a third year dropper for 2026 exam applications. Therefore it is unlikely that you will be eligible for IAT 2026.

I hope this clears you confusion.

Thankyou.
