Dear student,
When you pass your class 12th boards examination then only you can appear for jee mains. However if you have failed in the year 2020, then don't worry, give the exams again and score as high as you can and you will be eligible for jee mains if you pass the examination. Although for admission to iit/nit/iiit/gfti you would need a score of 75% in your 12th boards.
