45 percentile mark is enough for jee advanced

45 percentile is very low score and with this score you may be not able to qualify for jee advanced.

So prepare for next attempt and score atleast 98-100 percentile marks. You can qualify in 85-90 percentile also but I think if you are capable of getting 98+ percentile in jee mains than you will sure do good in advanced also.

But if you are getting 85-90 percentile in mains than it will be a difficult exam for you to score.

Because preparation for mains is part of jee advanced.

Let me first make you clear between percentile and percentage.

Percentile means you have performed better than that pecentage of students. Eg 45percentile means you have scored more than 45% of students who took the exam.

Percentage is the average of marks you got if paper was of 100.

Coming to your ques:

If you get 45 percentile in jee advance that it is be useless. You may not pass the exam. But if you get 45% marks then it will be good and you will have chances to get in IITs.

I would like to tell you that 45 percentile is not enough to qualify JEE MAINS and give an attempt at JEE ADVANCED.

About 225,000 students are selected every year for JEE ADVANCED and 45 percentile is less to come in that range.
