4kg of dry steam at 11 bar is required from the boiler.if the feed water temperature 45c,determine the amount of heatrequired to the steam

Its given that The feed water temperature is 45° C and steam is produced at 100° C.

So, T = 100 - 45= 55° C

Now, m = 4kg and Cp = 4.18

Therefore we know,

Heat required = mCpT + mλ

So, Heat required= (4 x 4.18 x 55 ) + ( 22 x 7 )

So, Heat required = 1073.6 kJ
