• VOID RATIO

= Volume of solid / (Volume - Volume of solid)

[ Here volume of solid can be calculated by M/(Gs * density of water) ]

• POROSITY :

= void ratio/ ( 1+ void ratio )

For calculating other things we need weight of dried soil sample.
