A person can save only 6% of his income. Two years later his income is increased by 15% and he still saves the same amount. The increase percent in his expenditure is
Hii,
We have to take the following steps to calculate the increase percent in his expenditure.
Let the persons income be 600.
Saving =6% of income
Income = 600, Saving = 36 Expenditure = 564
Now, increment by 15% = 600*15/100 = 90
Therefore new salary = 600+90 = 690
Saving = 36 and expenditure = 654
Increment in expenditure = 654-564 =90
% increase in expenditure = 90/564 * 100 = 15.95% i.e. approx. 16%.
Hope this helps.
