A person suffering from OCD and had PWD 40% mental illness temporary for two years can get reservation in NEET ?
Hello,
Yes, a person with 40% disability due to a mental illness can get reservation in NEET under the PwD category , only if the disability certificate is valid at the time of admission .
Since the certificate is temporary for two years, it must be valid during counselling and admission. If it expires, the candidate may need to get it renewed or re-assessed to avail the reservation.
Hope it helps !
Hello
If someone has OCD and a 40 per cent temporary mental-illness disability certificate, they are not guaranteed a PwBD reservation in NEET. Mental-health disabilities are checked very strictly, and many times they are not accepted under the reservation quota. Even with a 40 per cent certificate, the candidate must get a fresh PwBD certificate from an MCC-approved medical board during counselling. Only if that board confirms the disability as valid for NEET will the person get the reservation. So, chances exist, but the approval is not certain.
