hi,
see it is differ from college to college. if your gpa falls under 6 you will get half stipend as per iit roorkee. for iit bombay if you have back log in any subject your stipend will be discontinue and it will resumed once you clear the back log.
you should have a discussion with your hod about this if you are facing this problem.
