Correct Answer: $4 \frac{7}{32}$
Solution :
The ratio of time taken by A and B = 1 : 5.4
Let the number of days taken by A and B be k and 5.4k, respectively.
So, according to the question,
5.4k – k = 22
$\therefore$ k = 5
A and B can complete the work in 5 and 27 days, respectively.
One day work of A and B working together $=\frac{1}{5}+\frac{1}{27}=\frac{32}{135}$
$\therefore$ A and B together will take $=\frac{135}{32} = 4\frac{7}{32}$ days
Hence, the correct answer is $4\frac{7}{32}$ days.
