Ace engineering clg is autonomous or not

Dear friend,
Yes some engineering colleges are autonomous.
There are two types of colleges. (1) Affiliated and (2) Autonomous. The first type are affiliated to some or the other university. They have to follow the syllabus prescribed by the uni and also the all the norms & regulations etc.
Autonomous colleges on the other hand are granted freedom and in some or all the matters. They can have their own syllabus, evaluation patterns etc. The college can apply for autonomous status and U.G.C. may or may not grant it autonomy.
