Advanced Rank 9400 in JEE. Branch and College expected ?

Firstly, you have done well and it was just a difference of very few marks that you couldn't make it to the top 5000 slot so congratulations! Secondly relax!

Properly sit doWn and think of anything that you can get out of this rank. I dont have exact details but i can tell you what to look for. I was expecting a similar rank and i will tell you of the things i learnt. See, if your are under 10,000 you can apply for IISER and there are 3 to 5 campuses of the same And your branch and campus is decided on the basis of your performance in the aptitude test that they take after the students have applied for it. So yes that is an option and it is a very renowned institute and if you are intrested in reasearch its great! Search about this.

Secondly, there are a few masters integrated courses, Biotechnology courses and some more such branches that are offered in mostly old IITs which take admission upto 8000. You can look up cutoffs of IIT madras and IIT BHU for the same. I know people who got in them in the last rounds. A vertical transfer is not what you should rely on but people do enter with them and get vertical transfers in 2nd year.

Also there are colleges like RGIPT and ISM dhanbad which take admissions on JEE ADVANCE rank so look them up too.
