Details you need to know about the courses you need to undertake in order to join the cyber cell:
- In order to be eligible for joining the cyber cell, you need to have compulsoriy have done your Bachelor's. However, Master's on the other hand is optional, but doing it will improve your credibility and chances at getting into the cyber cell.
- It is suggested that you do an internship in an organization after the completion of your undergraduate programme. This will help you gain field experience and it will make you more eligible for special agent training programmes.
- Cyber crime investigation requires you to be familiar with the computer and its processes and thus a degree in computer science or information technology really adds to your profile and enhances your chances in order to get the positions you wish to achieve.
- It is suggested that you take up courses in computer science or information technology in order to make you familiar with computers and its processes and thereby enhancing your chances at getting into the cyber cell.
What to do after attaining a graduate degree?
- Cyber crime departments are included in organisations like CID, CBI, IB.
- In order to join the CID you need to appear for the Combined Graduate Preliminary Examination (CGPE) conducted by the SSC board every year. The age limit for this examination is from 20 to 27 years.
- In order to join the CBI you need to appear for the examinations conducted by UPSC. This exam is held once a year for the post of Sub-Inspectors of Police in CBI and the forms are published in the employment news in October.
- You can join the CBI or CID and then transfer to the cyber crimes department.
- To be eligible you should have completed you graduation in any discipline preferably IT/CSE for Cyber Cells. Certain physical requirements state that you should be a minimum of 165 cm in height and you should have a 6/6 vision. Your should be between 20 to 27 years of age.

its really cool that you have choosen for officer in cyber cell, since its completly related to computer and internet i would firstly suggest you go for the computer science engineering , BCA, lastly BSc in computer science while its not just the computer science will help to get that post you need also learn the back ends of the cyber security so to learn them go for courses that helps you since computer science will make you strong foundations
