After applying to college do i get a notification or merit list for councling?

Hey there!
When you apply to a college by filling application form, some college do notify you by emails, text or call, however some colleges only put up the information or the list if candidates to be called for counseling only on their website, which you have to check by yourself. Hope it helps!!
