After completing the b.tech you can go with the campus placement. Or you can go with the gate where you can b placed in national level company.

Or the company will conduct the off campus interview you can apply there too

If you want to get into public sector jobs like BHEL, HAL, ECIL, Tata Power, I would suggest you attempt GATE, becasue all these companies hire engineering graduates based on GATE scores.

Some companies outside the PSU sector also use GATE scores.
