After getting into iit am I free to choose any course

After getting into IIT with a certain branch of your choice, you can again change your branch after one year of study there. Some IITs have this provision of branch change at their campus for the students who have cleared their first year examinations at IIT.

You can change your branch or course by getting a good GPA score in your first year examinations at IIT. This will make you eligible for the branch change that you want to be done.

for each course in IIT ,cutoff are different.

so before admission there is acouncelling is held in which we get a college and coure according to our rank.nd it can not be changed.

yes in college student can change the branch.

but for that there are many criterias.
