Hi,

You will get paid if you join a job after your graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication. Journalism is a practical field. If you want to do well here, you should give yourself exposure, step in the fields like journalists and go for several internships. If you have decent knowledge about your field, you can expect a salary of 15,000 - 20,000 per month initially. However, some news agencies do not pay much to the fresher but once you’ll learn the work and get acquainted in the same with experience you can expect a handsome salary after that.

Top Career options in Journalism :

Anchor/Emcee

Expected Salary: 1.5 L INR - 1.8 L INR

Journalist

Expected Salary: 1.5 L INR - 3 L INR

Public Relations Manager

Expected Salary: 1.5 L INR - 3 L INR

I hope this helps. All the best.

Hello,
After graduation in ba mass communication and journalism you can achieve a good package which is fully dependent on the skills that you acquired during this course.
Some people are there who were getting a package of $16,000 and more but they not get this just because of this course, they able make it just because of their skills which they have and they enhance it in this course.
Normal salary starts at 20k to 50k
Hope it helps!

greetings bishal,

yes ofcourse you will be paid if you decide to work after BJMC.

if you do your graduation from a top college like delhi university, jamia milia islamia, symbiosis then you can expect a starting package of about 5-10 lpa and if you do it from an average college then you may get a package of 2-5 LPA.

but if you are doing bjmc i would suggest you to involve yourself in personality development activities, do internships, learn foreign languages and english proficiency if you want a good job.

hope this helps.

good luck.

Hello Bishal,

As the competition has grown in these days, thus it is not guaranteed that you would get a high-salary or even a job right after you are done with bachelors degree. However Journalism and Mass Communication gives exposure in different organisation as internship. You may be retained as a permanent employee if you have done well in the internships.

The salary usually starts from 30k to 40k per month on probation and increases based on your performance.

I hope this was helpful!
