Am I eligible for National Law College Delhi? Please read details
Dear Saikiran ,
Read your details and I feel sorry to know that your precious two years were spent on restoring your health. Further, it's good that you have detailed in so much and explained your doubts clearly. Really, with so much clarity, it's easy to help aspirants like you. But before, I clarify the doubts, can you clarify one of mine? What made you choose Engineering domain if you wished to go for Law? You can ignore to answer, but if you answer, I can again help you with something that will help you in the lifelong career.
Now moving onto your query, I assume you are firstly worried about the age criteria, which, however, doesn't exist now. As per the order of Hon'ble Supreme Court of March 3, 2017, the BCI's age bar policy now stands invalid. The apex court had ruled that there will be no age bar for admissions to any law programme either the undergraduate including five-year and three-year LLB or the postgraduate LLM programmes. So, you will be able to appear in the examination, irrespective of your age.
Secondly, with National Law College Delhi, I infer you mean National Law University Delhi which conducts AILET .
You will be happy to know that there are a few institutions like UPES Dehradun which offer B.Tech LLB, now it's again an integrated law programme but of six-year. Why I pointed this is the answer for clarification of your third doubt. 'To go or not to go', will eventually be your choice but it should be a logical one. There is no harm in doing an LL.B degree of three-years after getting a B.Tech degree. Neither is there a harm in dropping out from Engineering and going for a five-year integrated programme. But why do you wish to drop out, when you have an opportunity to do both?
I hope your doubts are clear, if not all, then most of it. Yet, if there is a small one left, please counter question me and I'll be happy to clarify that too. Stay healthy, happy and confident. Never look back on what you've done but think what more you can do!
And to know what you can do, ask questions, raise doubts, get answers and move on!
Thank you!
