You don't need EWS certificate for class 11th admission.
The EWS certificate are useful to students taking admission in government jobs and government institutions.
But, YES ,you can apply for EWS certificate in class 11th also.
Criteria By Central Government
Your family's gross income must be less than 8 lakh.
Your family must have not own more than 5 acres of land or for agriculture.
Your family must not possess more than 10,00 sq feet flat of area.
If you satisfy all these criteria, you can surely apply for EWS.
