Hello,
To get admission to any government college you have to give JEE Main or the state level entrance exam. Every state has its own entrance exam. You can apply for them depending on the state you belong to. However, in case of private colleges, you can get admission without JEE Main.
So, to get admission in government college you have to either give JEE Main or the state level entrance exam.

Yes you can get government colleges of your state through state level entrance exams like JCECE,MHTCET,BCECE,KCET,WBJEE,etc.For getting government college you need to have domicile certificate of your state .
