Anyone plz calculate my percentile of class 12 CBSE. I got 69.2 % in my boards.

Congratulations for your marks!!

Overall percentage for CBSE is roughly the percentage considering  the best 5 subjects.

The 5 subjects considered should include

• 1 language and 4 electives
• 2 languages and 3 electives

If there is a provision for 6th subject like Physical Education or Biotechnology, etc. then if a student gets less in any PCM/PCB/PCMB then the marks of sixth subject (if greater than PCM/PCB/PCMB marks) is considered while calculating the percentage.

For example,

If a student has marks like english-85, physics-89, chemistry-80, maths-95 ,biology/ comp sc/ IP-95 ,phy ed-88

Then X's percentage would be 90.6%

For example, consider another student who has the marks-

English 75, Physics 89 ,Chemistry 80,Maths 95,Biology/Comp Sc./I.P. 95,Phy. Ed. 88
Then this student's percentage would be 88.4%

Well, it is not possible to calculate the percentile without knowing your rank, e.g

say 100 students can get 75% or 200 students can also get 75% but in both cases your percentage remains same but percentile differs, as percentile means how many students you have left behind in marks...

But, if you are searching this for eligibility criteria of exams and institutes, then the percentile system is for state boards and not CBSE...
