Are class 10 marks calculated in percentile And if I score more than 85 % in class 10 can I take pcm even if I am 20th in class ?
Hi aspirant,
I am assuming that you are talking about JEE main as off your profile. In that respect I would like to tell you that class 10th marks are not taken into consideration while calculating your percentile but it is actually the percentage of candidates who have scored lower marks in comparison to yours in the JEE main examination.
Also anyone who have cleared the the secondary education and has opted for standard mathematics is eligible to study PCM in class 12th and therefore would be eligible for the JEE main also.
Hope it helps!
Hi there,
Marks of class 10th are calculated in percentage. Steps to calculate marks of 10th are following:
First add all marks obtained by you in all subjects
To find percentage divide marks obtained by total marks
Then multiply it by 100
For example: you get 400 marks out of 500 so percentage of 10th class = 400/500 *100 = 80%.
Now if you want to take pcm in 11th standard then you must score 65% to 70% . It does not matter whether you are at 20th position or 1st position. You just need to score qualifying percentage to take pcm in 12th Standard .
Hope it helps you.
Good luck!
