Are cut off mark and qualifying mark for NTSE same or not?

Hi,
No, the qualifying marks and cut off marks for NTSE are not same.
NTSE is counducted in two stages, Stage 1 is conducted by State/UTs while Stage 2 is national level conducted by NCERT. The papers are namely,SAT and MAT.
The student qualifying stage 1 will be able to proceed for stage 2 examination. The qualifying marks is 40% (for general and obc students) and 32%(for SC, ST and PH student) in each subject whereas cutoff marks varies each year and is the marks of last student eligible for stage 2 examination.
