Hello,
Yes there are scholarships available at government level and at your institute level. You have to qualify the criteria to avail a scholarship.
Government Scholarships are posted in newspaper. you can get from there or have to keep on searching to know the updates. For institute level you have to search in the official website.

I would like to know about scholarships ,which have there separate exam and give scholarship on merit basis.

The list is very long. You can easily get the list from the institute website where you study. And for national level scholarship you have to search for it. As per your eligibility. So it's your work to find out using all the filters you want.
