Since you have not mentioned the exam we can't really tell you what would be the instructions. But if you are talking about Jee mains or neet then let me tell you that JEE MAINS is now being held in an online mode but still for rough work, you will be provided the sheet and the pen at your exam centre.

Talking about neet, it's the same you don't need to take your pen, you'll be provided the pen itself at the centre.
