As for getting into an NIT's or IIIT's firstly your JEE mains marks are viewed. Now as you have achieved 84 percentile then this might not get you into any top NIT's in some desired branch. But your cast criteria might help you in getting into some good national level colleges, for that you may check the past year cut offs of your desired colleges which will provide you a better idea of your admission into them. Or with this score you can try getting into some good state college or may appear JEE mains again.

Now, all NITs have a very tough competition, and 84 percentile is less for that. For ST students, the cut-off ranks for different NITs lie within the range 2000 to 10000.
