Assam state merit list is out how will they know that some among them are ews category? Nta correction window there was no such category.

While filling up the form for neet, you should mention your category of ecs to avail its benefits.

Nta correction category was long back ago before neet exam.

Yes, ews category exist and there are seats reserved for that category as mentioned by indian government rules from this year.

If u have applied for that category, then assam merit list will show it and will allow to avail its advantages as the marks required are less than general category and students are less comparatively. So if you have good marks and ews category too, then you can have a better chnace to get a seat in medical colleges of asaam .

Your marks should be 450+ on a safer side in neet to get a seat in 1st counseling itself in assam.

Thus having this category is valuable if u have a good marks too.

The Assam state merit list for round one was declared before application of EWS. Now that the EWS has been applied, the merit lists of further rounds will have students of EWS category. It'll be mentioned under the category section.
