Hello Rahul,
The option is generally meant for candidates who have been allotted seats, but want to participate in subsequent rounds. So, if you give your consent in that case, if you are offered a higher preferred seat in subsequent rounds of counselling, your seat you are currently allotted will get cancelled. This is tto ensure you don't hold two seats at a time.
