There can be two modes for getting admission in any government college that are entrance based test or on the basis of merit list.

The minimum marks are 50% aggregate or equivalent for meeting the eligibility criteria (unreserved category).

Once you're eligible, you can appear for the entrance test where the admission is done on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate. In merit based mode, colleges release admission list and the candidates who cross the cut offs are eligible to take admission. So this is the basis on which a candidate can seek admission in any government college.
