It depends upon the college/University you are studying. Government universities/colleges charge less fee whereas private colleges take a hefty amount of fee.

For government colleges(state colleges): 40000-80000+ per year

For Private colleges: 80000+ per year

The fee will vary depending on the institution you take admission in. Generally, the fee is lower in public institutes like IITs, NITs, IIITs than in private institutes like VIT and Manipal.

Some private institutes also charge you less if you get a good rank. So that is something to consider as well.
