There are two types of astronauts:

1. Pilot astronaut
2. Research astronaut

To become pilot astronaut:

• You need to have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, biological science, physical science, or mathematics. An advanced degree is desirable. Quality of academic preparation is important.
• At least 1,000 hours pilot-in-command time in jet aircraft. Flight test experience is highly desirable.
• The standard physical requirements are as follows:

1. Distant visual acuity: 20/70 or better uncorrected, correctable to 20/20 each eyes.
2. Blood pressure: 140/90 measured in a sitting position.
3. Height between 64 and 76 inches.

To become astronaut researcher:

• Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering, biological science, physical science, or mathematics.
• 3 years of related experience is required.
• Physical health requirements are as follows:

1. Distance visual acuity: 20/200 or better uncorrected, correctable to 20/20, each eye.
2. Blood pressure: 140/90 measured in a sitting position.
3. Height between 58.5 and 76 inches.

Take science stream in 10+2 and work hard in physics and mathematics.
To get into engineering colleges, you will have to pass entrance examinations like JEE. So, prepare for those exams too.
Make sure you eat well and stay fit so that you can fit in the health criteria.
