See both the field are very good. Both of them have amazing working areas, so you can obviously go for any of it. But if you want to go for a field which will be more relevant in future then I would recommend you to go for Data Science. See the data science is now becoming a crux of data management and business predictions. Also data science will surely get more strengths as application of AI and Neural Networks increases in day to day technologies. So Data Science have the potential to outpace the traditional branches of engineering till now.
