Admission to most veterinary colleges is given on the basis of results obtained in the entrance examination conducted by the concerned universities.
Veterinary Council of India conducts an All India PRE Veterinary Test (AIPVT)for admission to first year of Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) & Animal Husbandry (AH) degree course for filling up seats of each veterinary college of all states including Bihar Veterinary College patna
This Entrance exam is usually held in the month of May each year.
In 2017, the admission in BVSc courses were done on the basis of NEET 2017 Score
The counselling for admission to 15% All India quota seats is organized by the VCI and the counselling for seats other than 85% all India quota is conducted separately by the respective states/University.
