Can a student give jeemain 3 times and advanced 2 times? Please explain me

Hi ,
According to the new rules which came in 2015 or something
A student can appear for 3 years means 3 attempts for jee main
Similarly if you pass 12 in 2018 then you can appear in 2018,2019,2020 for jee mains

- Like if you passed your 12th in 2016.
- Then you can appear in 2016 ,2017,2018 for jee mains
- For jee advance you can appear in only 2016 ,2017 only
