An ipad can't do same as a computer /laptop. iPad is for fun and mostly you can use it for learning. But for professional works you have to use laptop to do a sequence and synchronized work.
Laptop gives you a wide space and a comfortable zone to work on your projects.
If you are asking for fun work yes you can use iPad but for work related use laptop.
