Candidate’s age |
The JEE Main upper limit is not mentioned. Candidates must, however, be at least 10 years old and have completed 10+2 or equivalent exams to be eligible for this entry. Candidates who are taking their 10+2 test in 2021 are also eligible to take this exam, regardless of their age. |

Qualifying exam for JEE Main
When applying for this admission, candidates must have completed their 10+2 or equivalent test. This examination is also open to students who are doing their 10+2 exams.

Mandatory subjects
Because this entrance test is used to assist students get admission to B. Tech/B.E. or B. Arch programmes, there are a few subjects that all candidates must have in their 10+2 examinations.
For B.Tech/B.E:
Physics,Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical/vocational Subject/Language/Any other subject
For B. Arch & B.Plan: PCM is mandatory

Qualifying exam score for General category
Minimum 75% in aggregate or be in the top 20 percentile in their 10+2 examination.
SC/ST/PWD category

Even if you are a dropper or any college student if you posses all the eligibility criteria you can give JEE too

It doesn't matter even if you are a BSc physics student , you can still appear for JEE main 2022 provided to fulfil its eligibility criteria provided below:-

-) Passing year :- one is eligible for JEE main examination for consecutive three years starting from the year of appearing for 12th /equivalent examination i. e to be eligible for JEE mains 2021 you should be either appearing for 12th board exam or equivalent in 2022 or should have passed it in 2021 or 2020.
SO,if you had passed 12th either in 2020 or after it then you will be eligible for jee main 2022 even if you are a BSc physics student

-) there is no minimum percentage requirement to be eligible for JEE Main.
But yes,
To be eligible for NITs, IIITs, CFTIs one needs at least 75% marks in class 12th if belongs to General or OBC category or at least 65% marks in class 12th if belongs to Sc or St category. For this year i. e 2021 this minimum percentage requirement of 75% - 65 % has been lifted off but it will be there in 2022.
