can ECE students make rc drones
Hi Aspirant!
Drones are basically made by mechanical engineers. Electrical Engineers or students of ECE also work in robotics to design autonomous systems using control algorithms which interpret sensory feedback to control actuators that move robots such as autonomous vehicles, autonomous drones and others used in a variety of industries. But this does not mean that ECE students are not allowed to make drones, if you understand the complete process for making a drone then you can do it for sure. For motivation, ECE students of University of Masachusetts Amherst has conceived, designed and are currently building a camera-toting drone (named Otto) aircraft that can hover above a mountain biker, surfer, climber or any other athlete.
You can also try to do so, first plan with your team then get it approved.
Thankyou!
Making of drones i.e., any hovering craft needs a interdisciplinary array of subjects such as Mechanical, Electronics, Aerodynamics. Thus yeah! One can obviously do projects being an ECE students on Drones. But it will not entirely be based on your field but you have to stretch your knowledge in order to do it but it will be an amazing experience for you thats for sure.
You can use the open resources like Youtube and other website to learn the stuff you have no idea with and mix it with your imagination in order to make a great project and to pursue the passion you want to pursue.
I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
