Yes. You can still write Write JEE mains while studying Btech first year. If you qualify in the JEE mains and got a good seat then you have to study from the first year. Your Past one year of Btech won't be considered. Look into that make a good choice.

If you are in B.Tech 1st Year and have given JEE MAINS in the previous year..you can definitely give JEE Mains again in First Year as well. You can give JEE Mains 3 years in a row from the year you completed your standard XIIth
