can i apply ews in different states if i am from m.p?
Hello Aspirant,
The eligibility criteria to be considered under EWS quota includes an annual family income of less than Rs 8 lakh. The candidate as a a family should not own more than 5 acres of agricultural land, residential flat with an area of 1,000 sq ft and above, and residential plots of 100 yards and above in notified areas, and 200 yards and above in non-notified municipalities.
The validity of the EWS certificate will not differ from state to state nor is there anything like separate central and state EWS certificate. So there is only one EWS certificate which you can apply and get from your from your local government authority (Tehsil) if you satisfy the eligibility criteria and it will be valid in throughout India.
You may approach any one of these authories to apply for EWS certificate :
District Magistrate (DM) /Additional District Magistrate (ADM) / Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/ Additional Deputy Commissioner/ First Class Stipendiary/ Magistrate/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate / Executive Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate/ Extra Assistant Commissioner
Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency Magistrate
Revenue Officer (not below the rank of Tehsildar)
Sub-Divisional Officer (or the area where the applicant or his family normally resides).
The eligibility period of this certificate is one-year.
However, whether or not [to] provide reservation to EWS for state government jobs or admission into state government institutions is up to that particular state government authority. Hence , if you are aiming to apply for anything under EWS category, make sure the particular state is providing the benefit.
All the best
