can I apply to paper 2 of jee main for b. Tech?

There are two papers for jee main. Paper1 and paper2 . Paper1 is for admission in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs for BTech degree. You need  to pass even paper1 for appearing in jee advanced.

Paper2 is compulsory for admission in BArch, Bplanning across NITs and SPAs.

So, you cannot appear jee mains paper2 for BTech.

JEE mains paper 2 is to get admission in B.arch course.If you want to do B.tech then to have to write JEE mains paper 1.You may also write both paper one and two.Both paper one and two has different syllabus.Paper one consists of question in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of 10+2 whereas paper two syllabus is General aptitude, Mathematics and drawing/planning skills.I hope this is helpful to you.
