So as per your query, YES you can change your elective subjects after admitting into the collge in your first year. However there some exceptions to this,
Firstly, if you got seat in any course basing upon the merit score in any of the competitive exam.
Secondly, if your semester exams are completed.
So if you qualify any of the above two mentioned criteria, then you cannot change your elective. If you don't belong then just contactt the authorities once and they will help you.
