The top 20 percentile calculation methodology for is as follows:
- The subjects to be considered for calculating the top 20 percentile are supposed to be 5 subjects that being Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, a language paper and any subject other than the ones mentioned before this.
- In cases where there are more than one language as the 4th paper then the language paper that needs to be considered is the one where the candidate has scored the most.
- The total aggregate marks should be 500 and should be calculated likewise.
- In subjects other than Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics only the best marks or the subject in which the candidate has scored the highest needs to considered for calculation alone.
Thus to summarize, you can most definitely choose EVS as your fifth subject for your top 20 percentile calculation.
