see upsc is one of the toughest exam among other government service exam, however you may crack it in first attempt if you are preparing for it and have sicerely follows the full syllabus, since the exam has 2 parts prelims and mains, most of the candidates crack prelims but can not get cutoff score in mains exam, however there is many coaching center, but the most important thing is self study , since prelims exams is mcq type , there is no possibility of getting common questions from suggestions or notes.

however I suggest you to follow lucent gks, bankers adda magaazine, rs agarwal for numerical, any good grammar books for english, arihants books for general science practice.
