Can I do BCS with PCB stream..... Can I do BCS without maths?!
Hi Shruthi,
In general, most universities and colleges require students to have acquired Mathematics knowledge at the 10+2 (or equivalent) level in order to enter a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) program. This is because computer science does involve logical thinking and algorithms - at times it may even involve programming - that often requires basic math skills. That said, some institutions do offer BCS or related courses without a strict "mathematics" requirement, particularly if they place more emphasis on application, and less on theory. However, it is wise to check the eligible qualifications of the college/university you apply to.
In the instance that you have a Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) background without Maths, you may also have other options such as BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications), or diploma programs, where the requirements could be more flexible.
