Hello,
JEE Advanced have certain age criteria. To appear for JEE Advanced 2019 you must have born on or after October 1, 1994. Also, you get maximum of a maximum of two attempts in consecutive years to appear for JEE Main.
So, I would suggest you not to drop years to appear for JEE Advanced. However, if you think that you will score better after dropping and meet all the criteria to appear for the exam then it's your call.
Good Luck!
