Can i get a public job by doing civil engineering in abroad and is the income of a civil engineer is good or average
Hi Jensenjit,
According to my understanding, you are concerned about the prospects of a civil engineer in terms of remuneration. Civil Engineering is vast in terms of scope and benefits. If you complete Masters in Civil Engineering, it is most likely that you will get a good job in academics ( top colleges like IITs, BITS Pilani, DTU, NSIT, PEC etc. will hire you as a lecturer) in India. And these jobs are one of the most rewarding and satisfying jobs in the world, I think.
If you want an industry job, study hard in your Bachelors and get a good GPA. The civil engineering industry calls for severe hard work for at least 3 -5 initial years.
You might try in the following companies-
L&T Engineering Construction & Contracts Division (ECC)
Larsen & Toubro Limited
IRCON International Ltd
Essar Group
Hindustan Construction Company (HCC)
Simplex Infrastructures Limited
Egis in India
Mukand Ltd
Arduous hard work both physical and mental is linked with this industry. However, if you work hard, chances of success are good. After 15 years of experience, you can expect to draw 25-30 LPA as remuneration. Apart from this, there are many foreign civil companies, establishing an Indian counterpart for more business. So, your future is bright.
Hope it helps!
Best wishes for your future endeavours.
