Can i get admission for MPhil chemistry part time belongs to sc category entrance mark 14/40

Hello Jagadeeswari. UGC has recently amended its 2016 regulations in which reserved category candidates have got relaxation of 5% marks required in entrance exams conducted for MPhil and PhD admissions. This means that all candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Other Backward Category (OBC) (Non-Creamy layer)/ Differently-abled categories now need 45% instead of 50% marks in entrance exams conducted by universities for admission to MPhil and PhD programs.

Earlier, as per UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of MPhil/PhD Degrees) Regulations, 2016, MPhil and PhD admissions in universities and colleges were done through a two-step process – entrance test and interview/ viva-voce. Marks required to clear the entrance test were 50%. Also, the syllabus for the entrance test consisted of 50% research methodology and 50% subject-specific questions.

Currently, the amended regulation is called as University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of MPhil/PhD Degrees) (1st amendment) Regulations, 2018. The 2016 regulations of UGC have been amended considering the decline in the number of reserved category students getting admission in MPhil and PhD courses.

Sorry to say but you don't have 45% and hence not eligible to apply for MPhil.
