Can i get admission in thaper university ? 12 board marks > 80%

Admission in Thapar is purely based on jee main marks only . So no need to worry about board marks.

To get into Thapar you must score around 150-170 at least in JEE Mains.

For admission in Thapar University, Patiala the eligibity criteria laid out states that you need to score a minimum aggregate of atleast more than 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects if you belong to the general category. As you've scored more than 80% you're eligible. Other than this your 12th board marks won't be used. Your score in JEE Mains will be considered for admission.
