You have no chances to get NITs/IIITs at this rank but you can definitely apply for private colleges based your rank in states of orissa,gujarat,rajasthan,up,kolkata,maharashtra.....you can also try our college predictor

Yes, you can try private universities but coming into IIT's/NIT's are not possible and as Shefali said go with her options. But take wise decision.

Yes, you can try in private colleges. You can get private college in other states like: Haryana, UP, West Bengal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Maharashtra. Most of the states have reservation for other state students in private colleges based on JEE Main score/rank. You need to apply separately for them.
